Windies’ Pooran scored 75 off 25 deliveries while the captain, Rovman Powell, scored 52 off 25 balls. Sherfane Rutherford made 47 runs not-out. Shai Hope and Johnson Charles opened the innings, with Hope scoring 14 off 8 balls only while Charles making 40 from 31 deliveries.Adam Zampa bagged two wickets for the visitors. Meanwhile, in the second innings, Australia’s Josh Inglis scored the most runs, making 55 off 30 balls, but Australia were restricted to 222-7 in 20 overs. David Warner and Ashton Agar started the second innings, with Warner scoring 15 from 6 balls while Agar making 28 off 13 deliveries. Nathan Ellis smashed 39 runs in 22 balls lower down the order.  Alzarri Joseph and Gudakesh Motie claimed two wickets each for the winning side. It must be noted that only nine players of the Australian team played in the warm-up match against Windies earlier today due to the decision to allow players who went deep into the Indian Premier League 2024 some additional time at home. The same thing happened in Australia's previous warm-up match but, despite the shortage of players, they were able to defeat Namibia by seven wickets.West Indies will be facing Papua New Guinea in their opening match on Sunday, June 2 at the Providence stadium in Guyana while Australia will be playing their first match against Oman on Thursday, June 6 at the Kensington Oval, in Bridgetown, Barbados.LineupsWest Indies XII: Johnson Charles, Shai Hope, Nicholas Pooran, Rovman Powell (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Sherfane Rutherford, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Gukadesh Motie, Shamar Joseph, Obed McCoy.
